Black Caviar Rose joins the winner’s circle

Knight’s Roses, in conjunction with the owners of Black Caviar, is very excited to announce the pre-release of the new Black Caviar Rose.
Featuring a vanilla and jasmine fragrance, the old fashioned rose shares its name with the remarkable mare who has captured international attention with her record-breaking winning streak.
Knight’s Roses is the sole Australian agent for some of the most world’s renown rose breeders from Europe, including Guillot Roses of France, Rosen Tantau of Germany, Harkness of England, James Cocker and Sons of Scotland.
The Black Caviar Rose caught the family company’s attention several years ago as they explored the new varieties that had left quarantine.
After rigorous testing it was given the name Black Caviar in honour of a lovely mare that had won three consecutive races – few realised the amazing success story she would become with 21 wins to her name.
Located at Gawler, gateway to the famous Barossa Valley, Knight’s Roses is a second generation family business and is South Australia’s largest wholesale rose supplier.
The company has an enviable track record of success in the industry, having released FireStar – the official rose of Country Fire Authority of Victoria – and the Peter Brock Foundation Rose.
It now adds the Black Caviar connections to its stable, and looks forward to a rewarding and prosperous joint venture with its namesake.
The multi-award winning Black Caviar Rose will officially be released later this year.
Black Caviar’s owners will use royalties to raise awareness and funds for an extremely good cause, which will be announced in Spring.

This rose is a very special cultivar! With medium sized blooms, it features astounding velvet burgundy red flowers (brighter on the edges, colouring to black purple in the centre).
Extremely fragrant with a vanilla and honey jasmine perfume, this rose will transport you to another place. The flowers are very full and quartered, reminiscent of the roses of yesteryear. With many blooms to a cane, this rose will reward your garden with continuous flowers throughout the season.
Black Caviar will excel in full sun and with its intoxicating perfume, this award winning rose will always be in the winner’s circle.
