STEP aside super horse, now we have Black Cabbie-ar.

Our Queen of the track is making way for the king of the road as the ultimate Battle Royal heats up in London.

A London taxi driver has painted his taxi to honour Black Caviar who is in the UK to win her 22nd consecutive race at Royal Ascot this Saturday.

Cabbie Paul Gardiner is the man behind the wheel and said he was ready to channel the unbeaten sprint wonder's speed to zip around the London traffic.

And with his car draped in her famous silks, salmon pink and black spots, he has become London's latest attraction.

"I rank her the best in the world. Based on my knowledge, she's as fast as a Ferrari up Fleet Street so there's no risk of her being held up in traffic at Ascot,'' Mr Gardiner said.

Mr Gardiner is a mad Black Caviar fan and is hoping he’ll snare a fare with some of her entourage – after all, they do make up 150 individuals.

The English media have dubbed Black Caviar the “Wonder from Down Under” and she will race on the final day in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) on Saturday night.

Thousands of Aussies have made the trek to England to see Black Caviar take on the world in a history defining moment.
